Hi Guys and Gal,
Well I have to hand a big piece of raisin pie ( remember that term from the old Easy Riders ? ) to Russ Peterson. He has continued development of his Right Side Electric Starter despite a more than full time day job along with family obligations. Russ is in the final stages of design/building a great looking oil tank to go along with his starter assembly. The tank is very close in shape and dimension to a stock hardtail wrap around tank. It will take a battery that is capable of turning a bigger than stock motor over with out any problem. The starter setup can now be had with a cable operated ramp and ball clutch release. One of the first of these units has gone to my 77 year young friend Sid. Due to some health problems Sid has been unable to kick-start any of his vintage machines in recent times. That situation is coming to a halt very soon. Last Friday my great friend Kyle and I traveled down to Help Sid mount his beautiful S&S/Flathead Power 90 inch Knucklehead motor in the straight leg Pan chassis that he will pull his sidecar rig with. The motor fit with no issues. After test mounting the rear fender it was time to bench race . Strohs beer fueled the story telling late into the day ! But I digress. Russ will be spending spare time welding up oil tanks so I should have a new report in the near future. I can't wait to see Sid hit the button on this cool machine. Dago Red will be the next RSES transplant candidate so stay tuned. For info direct from the source you can email Russ Peterson -- cnc56pan@hotmail.com |

| I expect to do an article on Sid's build shortly after we have the oil tank in and the bike is capable of self commencement. Not sure Exactly when that will be. |

| Russel is really getting it all together. His final design for the oil tank looks great, and the starter is tucked in perfectly. This set up will allow some injured or older fellas with kick start trouble to enjoy their old machines with freedom and independence. Sid says he is going to take me for a 90mph sidecar ride when his bike is done. Ya right. |
